Dubai Newborn Photography FAQ
- When is the best time to book a newborn session?
Newborn sessions are usually booked during your 2-3 trimester. Photographers do plan annual leave around their client’s due dates and get extremely busy in winter season so it is best to book your session while you are still expecting. Last minute bookings are subject to availability. - When is the best time to photograph a newborn?
The best time to have newborn photos taken is first 14 days of the baby ( absolute best 5-10 days old) while little ones presume womb like behavior, sleeping through the sessions and going in those adorable poses.It is still possible to do newborn sessions past the 2 week mark and I do work with older newborns but older babies are generally more alert and are less sleepy so the session might not be the same, some poses might be out of reach and baskets set up might be used to make the session possible. - How long does a newborn session last?
Depending on the type of the package you go with from 1 hour up to 3 hours. A typical bronze mini session takes 45 minutes – 1 hour ; silver session around 2 hours and golden package 2-3 hours depending on little one’s sleeping and feeding routine. We will pause the session to allow for feeding/nursing breaks or if the baby needs to be settled. - What if the baby does not sleep?
On a very rare occasions newborns ( 5-10 days ) do not sleep which might be caused for instance by colics or cluster feeding day. In case bronze package is booked we do wrapped basket shots instead to get little one in a sleepy and more comfy mode. If silver or golden package is booked and little one has not settled after an hour or feeding, rocking and comforting I do offer reschedules to the nearest available date. - Do I need to bring anything with me?
Please remember to bring some extra nappies and wipes with you to the session along with changing mat. If the baby is taking formula, please bring a few extra bottles with you. - Do I need to bring outfits or other props for my baby?
Our studio has a great variety of props and accessories that are used during newborn sessions and each session is designed and styled in a unique way so that no two sessions are alike. A part of our pre-session consultation includes going over parents preferences in colors, props and poses and any other special requests. - Can we have a family photo taken during the newborn session?
The Silver package includes couple of sibling shots. Golden package includes family photos and photos with siblings. Sibling photos are always done at the end of the session to ensure sibling cooperation and outcome. Siblings do arrive for the end of the session to have their photographs taken. - What can we wear for the family photos with the baby?
It is best to wear a plain white/grey/black tops or tshirts to ensure that the clothes don’t take away from the main focus which is your precious new family. - When will my photos be ready for viewing?
Your proofing gallery will be delivered to you electronically within 5 working days after the date of the session. - Can I upgrade to a different product package during the session?
Yes, you can upgrade your session package during the session if time allows and there is no other booking proceeded.
Dubai Maternity Photography FAQ
- Will the session be outdoors or in the studio?
I do offer maternity sessions outdoors – Dubai based parks or beaches. For park photography Al Barsha Pond park is lovely and not overly busy, for beach photography it’s Kite Beach for sunrise sessions and Black Palace Beach for sunset sessions. - Do I need to bring outfits for my maternity session?
You can wear anything that makes you feel beautiful during your maternity photo shoot. Usually long solid color gowns complimented by accessories are recommended. If the premium package is purchased I do bring along gorgeous flower crown in the color we agree prior to the session. - How many outfit changes can I have during the session?
You can have up to two outfits if the time and location permits it. - Can I have family photos included in the maternity session?
Absolutely! Maternity session is all about the family, your bounds and connections. So your husband and older siblings are definitely part of the session. - When will my photos be ready for viewing?

- Where does the session take place?

Outdoor family sessions can be booked in the early morning or late afternoon to allow for the most flattering light. - Do we need to bring anything with us?
Please bring your little one’s favorite toy and a change of outfit in case of any accidents. I encourage parents to bring over whatever their bundles love most whether it is balloons, bubbles, teddy or a little snack. Little treat is always great in case your little one needs a little encouragement during the session. - What can we wear to the session?
There are no restrictions on what you can or cannot wear to your session, however the I would suggest to stay away from dressing everyone in the same exact color. Its always best to break up the colors instead. Avoid blacks and big patterns on your clothes as well so that it’s not getting too busy distracting from the main focus – your beautiful family.

Yes, of course. The family session includes both family and individual kids portraits but I also always include individual portraits of the parents and couple’s shots. - When will my photos be ready for viewing?
